Editorial Staff

A transparent masthead that makes editorial responsibility visible.

The people behind Malta Business Journal

Our editorial work is built around clear responsibility, subject knowledge and human review. The masthead below explains who leads the publication and how editorial decisions are made.

Justin Paul Anastasi

Founder & Publisher

Justin Paul Anastasi is the Founder and Publisher of Malta Business Journal. A Maltese entrepreneur and business leader, his experience spans recruitment, technology, iGaming, investment, strategic advisory and media. He established Malta Business Journal to create a focused business publication that combines Malta-specific understanding with an international commercial outlook.

As Publisher, Justin is responsible for the Journal's strategy, long-term development and commercial sustainability. Day-to-day editorial decisions, factual review, corrections and the application of the Journal's Ethical Standards are handled through the editorial function and are not determined by advertisers or category partners.

Editorial Desk

The Editorial Desk commissions, reviews and publishes news, analysis, interviews and contributed material across Malta Business Journal's categories. It is responsible for relevance, accuracy, structure, tone, sourcing, legal and ethical checks, headlines, corrections and the clear labelling of different content types. The named Editor and regular editorial contributors will be added to this masthead as appointments are confirmed. Every regular team profile should identify the person's role, relevant experience and any standing interests that readers would reasonably expect to know.

Contributors and expert voices

Malta Business Journal works with journalists, analysts, business leaders and subject-matter experts. Contributed articles are selected for their relevance and insight, edited to our standards and identified by the appropriate label and byline. Acceptance does not imply endorsement of every view expressed.

  • Opinion and contributed pieces must be clearly distinguished from reported news.
  • Contributors must disclose relevant commercial, financial, political or personal interests before publication.
  • Material supplied by a company or public-relations representative is not published as independent reporting unless independently assessed and rewritten with appropriate attribution.
  • Sponsored and partner content is handled under separate labelling and approval rules and cannot be presented as independent journalism.

Editorial and commercial separation

The commercial team manages advertising, sponsorships and partnerships. The editorial team decides what to cover and how to cover it. Commercial colleagues may identify topics of genuine reader interest, but they may not promise a positive article, suppress legitimate reporting or allow a client to approve an editorial conclusion.
