Send us a story or pitch
A strong pitch is concise and tells us why the story matters to Malta's business community now. Please include:
- a proposed headline or one-sentence summary;
- the central fact, development or argument;
- why it matters to readers in Malta;
- the people, documents or data available to support it;
- whether the material is exclusive, under embargo or already public; and
- your name, organisation, role and any relevant commercial interest.
Sending material does not guarantee coverage. The Editorial Desk may verify information independently, seek additional perspectives, edit submissions or decline material that does not meet our standards or current priorities.
Corrections, complaints and right of reply
We take credible challenges seriously. To help us assess an issue efficiently, identify the article and passage concerned, explain what you believe is inaccurate or unfair and provide supporting evidence. If you are requesting a right of reply, state your connection to the matter and the specific claim you wish to address.
We aim to acknowledge substantive editorial complaints promptly. More complex matters may require source checks, legal review or a response from the author. Our corrections approach is explained in the Ethical Standards page.
Confidential sources and sensitive documents
Protect sensitive information
Ordinary email is not an appropriate channel for exceptionally sensitive or high-risk material. Do not send confidential documents from an employer-controlled device or account. Contact the Editorial Desk first and ask to arrange a more appropriate secure channel. Malta Business Journal will discuss confidentiality before accepting information; confidentiality cannot be assumed merely because material is sent to us.
Report allegedly illegal content
A legal-content notice should identify the exact URL and content, explain why the content is alleged to be illegal, identify the relevant law or right where possible, include evidence supporting the notice and provide accurate contact details. We may request additional information. Knowingly submitting false or abusive notices may itself have legal consequences.
Postal and company information
The full legal name of the entity that operates and publishes Malta Business Journal, its company registration number and its registered office are displayed in the website footer. Formal correspondence should be marked for the attention of the relevant function and sent to that registered office.
Response expectations
We read every credible enquiry, but publication deadlines and the need to verify information mean an immediate response is not always possible. Privacy requests and formal content notices are handled within the timeframes required by applicable law. Urgent safety matters should be reported to the appropriate emergency service or public authority as well as to us where relevant.
