PN pledges support to 35 Maltese athletes heading to Mediterranean Games

The PN has wished success to 35 Maltese athletes competing in 14 disciplines at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, with Shadow Minister Graham Bencini thanking their dedication.
The Partit Nazzjonalista has backed the 35 Maltese athletes who will represent the country at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy.
In a statement reported by TVMnews.mt, Shadow Minister for Sport Graham Bencini thanked the athletes and their coaches for their sacrifices during training.
Malta will field competitors across 14 sport disciplines at the event.
The PN said the athletes performance should serve as a catalyst to encourage children and youths to take up sport at a high level.
For Malta's business community, the games offer a platform for international visibility. The athletes act as brand ambassadors, promoting the country to a regional audience.
Political support for sports also signals policy continuity or potential shifts in funding and infrastructure priorities under a future PN administration.
The Mediterranean Games run from today in the Italian city of Taranto.
