MTV has added Afrojack to the Isle of MTV Malta 2026 lineup, placing the Dutch DJ alongside headliner Katy Perry at Il-Fosos Square on 22 July. The announcement extends a summer bill that already includes Maltese pop star AIDAN.

The festival, now in its 18th edition, is delivered in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority and has become a fixture of Valletta's summer calendar. Tens of thousands of fans from Malta and overseas attend the event.

Performing on the Isle of MTV Malta stage for a home crowd is something truly special. I can’t wait for us to share this night of music together.

For the tourism economy, the event's value goes beyond the night itself. Isle of MTV Malta will be broadcast across MTV's international networks in September, giving Malta sustained visibility in key source markets long after the stage lights go down.

Afrojack's set will continue at the Official Isle of MTV After Party at Gianpula Village, where he will perform a special 'KAPUCHON' set. His recent single 'Awake Tonight', a collaboration with Sia and David Guetta, follows the trio's first joint effort 'Titanium' 15 years ago.

Local representation comes from AIDAN, Malta's recordholder for the most national No. 1 singles. He released his Elvis-inspired album 'Cowboys Don't Cry' and represented Malta at Eurovision 2026.

AIDAN said: 'Performing on the Isle of MTV Malta stage for a home crowd is something truly special. I can’t wait for us to share this night of music together.'

Additional Maltese performers and DJs are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for Isle of MTV Malta and Malta Music Week are on sale now at isleofmtv.com.

The 2026 edition continues a tradition that has drawn major international names to Valletta, from Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 to David Guetta and Snoop Dogg. For the Malta Tourism Authority, the event remains a central piece of its strategy to position Malta as a year-round events destination, with the summer concert acting as a magnet for short-break visitors.
