HSBC Malta has thrown its weight behind a London reception aimed at wooing international decision-makers and reinforcing the island's financial services brand.

The reception, set for 25 November at the Great Hall of the Guildhall, marks the fourth edition of an event organised by the Malta Financial Services Advisory Council and FinanceMalta. It targets senior stakeholders to promote Malta's financial services sector and strengthen ties with the UK market.

This partnership reflects our shared ambition to present Malta’s financial services offering with clarity and confidence on a global stage.

CEO Geoffrey Fichte said the partnership reflects a shared ambition to present Malta's financial services offering with clarity and confidence on a global stage. London remains an important place to do that.

Fichte added that events like this open doors for dialogue, investment interest and collaboration. They give international audiences a practical sense of Malta's capabilities and long-term direction.

MFSAC Chairman Joseph Zammit Tabona described the reception as an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate progress made through the country's focused Financial Services sector strategy. He pointed to close cooperation between the public and private sectors as a driving force.

FinanceMalta Chairman George Vella said the partnership strengthens the platform built in London to connect with key international decision-makers. Showcasing Malta as a forward-looking, well-regulated and collaborative jurisdiction reinforces confidence.

With a significant proportion of the original strategy initiatives already delivered, MFSAC is now working on an updated plan covering 2027 to 2032. Continued collaboration across the sector will be important to sustain momentum.

The partnership agreement was signed at HSBC Hub in Qormi.
